lots of wording relating to childcare

Since 1996, Creative Learning Childcare has provided families with quality early years education and care. We focus on providing the best environment for our children and we believe in the importance of listening to the voice of the child, their parents and our staff team.

We value and nurture every child individually and offer constant support to all parents in their journey through a new experience from their baby’s first visit to nursery to the day they leave us to go to school, sharing in those precious milestones and achievements along the way.

Our ongoing commitment

Children are the most important members of Creative Learning Childcare and we encourage the development of their confidence and independence alongside care and respect for others.

We welcome and value all children, regardless of their ability, race, religion, gender or cultural heritage, and our aim is for each child to fulfil their own potential academically, physically, mentally and socially.

Our approach to learning and the Early Years Foundation Stage

Integrating the world-renowned approaches of Reggio, High Scope and Forest Schools marries well with the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage profile.

Managers and practitioners at Creative Learning Childcare have been working together to embed an inspiring approach to supporting young children’s learning and development; our combination of child-lead and project-based, hands-on activities, ensures that children are cared for in a nurturing environment; that they are well-supported in their learning; and that they gain confidence, initiative and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Ofsted reports

We are proud that our focus on creating the best environment for children has been recognised and praised. Creative Learning in Pye Nest was judged ‘Outstanding ‘for the 3rd consecutive inspection on 14 January 2019 and Creative Learning Childcare in Elland was judged ‘Outstanding ‘ at its second inspection on 07 March 2019.

Our Forest School can be accessed by children aged 2 and above. The younger children begin by using our on-site Forest School area, and progress to off-site visits to the local woods. We have a fully qualified Level 3 Forest School leader.

Through our weekly Forest School sessions your child will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences with natural resources and materials that can be used in a variety of ways. Forest Schools are ethos driven and believe in children’s right to play, the right to access the outdoors and understand and appreciate the vibrant reality of the natural world.
